Women’s Golf Selected to Charlottesville Regional

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's golf team was selected as the No. 5 seed for the NCAA Charlottesville Regional set to take place from May 5-7 at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Va. The Bruins discovered their postseason destination during Wednesday morning's Selection Show on Golf Channel.
(27) UCLA, making its 32nd NCAA Tournament appearance, will be competing against 11 programs: (4) South Carolina, (11) Virginia, (16) Ole Miss, (21) Florida, (33) UCF, (42) College of Charleston, (45) N.C. State, (55) BYU, (68) Princeton, Richmond and Radford.*

The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual on a non-advancing team (six individuals total) from each NCAA Regionals site will advance to compete in the NCAA Championships to be played May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Bruins placed fourth at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional last season and went on to finish runner-up at the NCAA Championships in Alicia Um Holmes' first year as head coach.
