March 11, 2026 | Women's Basketball
LOS ANGELES โ Senior Kiki Rice of UCLA Women's Basketball has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between March 3-9.
ย
The Bruin point guard was named Most Outstanding Player for the 2026 Allstate Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament after helping UCLA capture its second-consecutive conference tournament title Sunday. Rice averaged 16.7 points, 5.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game in UCLA's 3-0 weekend in Indianapolis, which included wins over No. 11 Ohio State and No. 9 Iowa en route to the repeat title. The point guard opened the tournament with 18 points against Washington and had six assists with just one turnover in the quarterfinal victory (W, 78-60). She then had 17 points, eight rebounds and shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the line in 34 minutes against the Buckeyes (W, 72-62). She capped the weekend with 15 points, eight rebounds and three steals against the No. 2-seed Hawkeyes; UCLA blew out Iowa by 51 points (W, 96-45), marking the largest margin of victory over an AP top-10 opponent in the NCAA era and in any Big Ten Tournament game.
ย
The No. 2-ranked Bruins have now secured the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, becoming the 10th team in Big Ten history to achieve that feat.
ย
Rice secures her fifth-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
