Marlie Monserez ended the season with an overall record of 27-5 (48-17 career) โฆ partnered with Jaden Whitmarshย for most of the early season going 11-3 (2-1 on court four, 9-2 on court five,ย and 3-0 in exhibition play on court six) and ended the year with Jessie Smith, going 15-2 (12-2 on court four and 3-0 on court five)ย โฆ also went 1-0 with Maggie Boydย on court two, and 1-0 in exhibition play with Kelli Greene-Agnewย on court six โฆ the Bruins faced 32 ranked opponents in the 44 duals on the yearย with Monserez going 22-5 against ranked teams (one match was truncated at the March to May Tournament) โฆ recorded a season-best winning streak of 10 consecutive duals (two with Whitmarsh and eight with Smith) which began with No. 11 Georgia State (Apr. 1) and ended vs. No. 8 Stanfordย (Apr. 27)ย โฆ Monserez clinched seven victories in dual matches on the year for the Bruins with the biggest coming in a 4-1 victory over No. 5 LSU (Mar. 31)ย โฆ Monserez also went 7-2 in postseason play (3-1 at NCAAs, 4-1 at Pac-12s) with one match being truncated at the Pac-12 Championshipย โฆ Monserez wentย 24-3 in two-set matches and 3-2 in three-set matches on the year.

Ended the season with an overall record of 21-12 โฆ began the season with Pani Napoleon going 0-1 on court five and then went 10-6 with Jessie Smith (3-0 on court four and 7-6 on court five) โฆ also went 1-0 with Jaden Whitmarsh on court four and ended the year with Rileigh Powers, going 10-5 (2-5 on court four and 8-0 on court five)ย โฆ the Bruins faced 34 ranked opponents in the 43 duals on the yearย with Monserez going 15-12 against ranked teams (one match was truncated at the March to May event, two more at the Pac-12 Championship, and two more at the NCAA Championship) โฆ recorded a season-best winning streak of 11 consecutive duals (first one with Smith and then 10 with Powers) which began with No. 12 California (Apr. 9) and ended vs. No. 1 USC (Apr. 22)ย โฆ Monserezย also clinched six victories in dual matches on the year for the Bruins (two with Smith and four with Powers) with the biggest coming in a 4-1 home victory over No. 4 LMUย (Apr. 20) โฆ Monserez and Powers went 1-5 in postseason play (0-3 at NCAAs, 1-2 at Pac-12s)ย โฆ Monserez wentย 15-7 in two-set matches and 6-5 in three-set matches on the year.

Full name: Marlie Patricia Monserez โฆ parents are Matthew and Patricia Monserez โฆ has two older sisters, Allie and Madison โฆ both sisters played volleyball at Florida โฆ her uncle, Marty Monserez, is in the Butler University Hall of Fame for basketball โฆ also has several cousins who have played Division I college sports โฆ says she chose UCLA because, "of the highly regarded education and the elite Beach Volleyball program." โฆ says her biggest athletic thrill was, "When I competedย in the Elite 8 at the 2020 NCAA Indoor Volleyball Tournament." โฆ lists Serena Williams, Simone Biles, and Jordan Larson as the athletes she admires mostย โฆ enjoys traveling and anything outside or at the beach โฆ has a pottery wheel and kiln, and enjoys throwing pots โฆ attained her undergraduate degree in marketing and working on her Master's of Educational Leadership Program.
