Played for two seasons at Texas Christian University … was named an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA All-Southwest Region, AVCA Southwest Region Freshman of the Year, All-Big 12 First Team and All-Big 12 Rookie Team in 2018, leading the Horned Frogs with 4.74 kills and 5.21 points per set … ranked first in the Big 12 Conference and eighth in the nation in both categories … added 3.26 digs per set, 41 blocks and 14 service aces … had 14 double-doubles and 20 double-figure kills matches in just 21 contests, including eight 20-plus kill affairs … posted a career-high 31 kills against Colorado State and a personal-best 22 digs versus Louisiana … was the first player in TCU history to earn AVCA Player of the Week honors (Nov. 20, 2018), also earning six Big 12 weekly plaudits (five Big 12 Rookie of the Week awards and one POW accolade) … as a sophomore, missed time with a leg injury, averaging 2.02 kps and 2.98 dps to go with 12 aces … had a pair of matches with at least 20 kills and four with double figures in kills … posted three double-doubles, including a 20-20 contest, registering 10 double-figure digs matches.

McCall played four years of volleyball at Rouse High School in Leander, Texas … 2017 Under Armour Girls High School All-America First Team … No. 76 on the PrepVolleyball Senior Aces list … recorded 1,331 kills, 1,848 digs, 123 aces and 173 blocks in her last three seasons … helped the Raiders to a 2017 State Runner-Up finish … three-time Team Most Valuable Player, as well as ’17 Co-Player of the Year … set a Texas State record for digs in a match during her senior season … coached by Jacob Thompson … played with Austin Juniors Volleyball Club, leading her team to a second-place finish in the 17 Open Division in 2017 and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Born élan La’Che McCall in Austin, Texas … parents are Sabrina Nichols and Leland McCall … has an older sister, Ebony, and two older brothers, LeQuince and Leland … chose to attend UCLA because academically it is the No. 1 public university, and athletically, it has a winning tradition that she wanted to be a part of … No. 1 reason she competes in volleyball is for her mom, who has given up a lot for her, and to not have a will to win would be a disservice to her … thing she likes the most about volleyball is that every piece of the team needs to work together in order to succeed … favorites include actor Hugh Jackman, the television show “Dance Moms”, any team NFL quarterback Tom Brady is on and the movie “The Wolverine” … lists her biggest athletic thrill as being selected to the Under Armour All-American Game … hobbies include doing makeup and watching YouTube … earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2021 ... working towards her master’s degree in education.
