ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - UCLA junior Amanda Moltke-Leth tied for fifth place individually at the Jones Intercable/Dick McGuire Invitational, hosted by the University of New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course over the weekend.
Moltke-Leth, who posted a one-under par 54-hole score of 218, fired a one-under par round of 72 in Saturday's final round. At the Fall Preview two weeks ago, she tied for eighth place against a nationally ranked field. Her top 10 finish in New Mexico raises her career total to 14.
UCLA juniors Leilani Bagby and Julie Oh tied for 65th and 70th, respectively. Bagby was 19-over par at 238 and Oh was 20-over at 239.
As a team, the Bruins fell short of the required four players after the second round and were disqualified from the tournament. An untimely back injury to freshman Jamie Kim and a disqualification to freshman Vivan Phosomran prevented UCLA from posting the required four scores on Friday.
