Bruins in Fourth Place at Stanford Tournament

The UCLA women's golf team is in fourth place after the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiates, hosted by Stanford on its campus course.

The Bruins posted a score of 303 on Saturday for a 36-hole total of 596. They trail first place Washington by seven shots. California is second at 591, followed by Vanderbilt at 595. Georgia is fifth at 599.

Individually, junior Gina Umeck and Yvonne Choe are tied for ninth place at 147. In the second round, Umeck posted a score of 74 and Choe added a 75. Junior Saki Uechi is tied for 20th at 151 and freshman Susie Mathews is tied for 24th at 152. Sophomore Charlotte Mayorkas is tied for 37th at 154 with senior Vivan Phosomran, who is playing as an individual.

Arizona's Erica Blasberg is the 36-hole leader at two-under par 142, followed by New Mexico State's Alena Sharp and Cal's Vikki Laing at 143.
