
Bruins Sixth after Round One in Hawai'i

The 10th-ranked UCLA women's golf team was in sixth place after the first round at the Anuenue Spring Classic in Maui on Monday.
The Bruins posted an 18-hole score of 295 (+7) at The Bay Course in Kapalua and trailed first-place Pepperdine (285, -3) by 10 shots. Washington was second at 287 (-1), followed by third place Arizona State at 289 (+1). San Jose State and Stanford were tied for fourth place at 294 (+6).
Senior Tiffany Lua was the UCLA frontrunner, tied for 10th place at even par 72. Senior Lee Lopez shot a one-over par score of 73 (+1) and was tied for 18th. Freshman Louise Riddeerstrom and junior Ani Gulugian were tied for 31st at 75 (3), followed by sophomore Erynne Lee, who was tied for 51st after posting a score of 77 (+5). Freshman walk-on Jacquie LeMarr, playing as an individual, was tied for 72nd after carding a score of 79 (+7).
Pepperdine's Grace Na and Arizona State's Noemi Jimenez held the first round lead, firing five-under par scores of 67.
Second round competition continues on Tuesday.
