
Three Bruins Make Finals in 3-Meter on Friday at Trojan Diving Invite

LOS ANGELES - Three Bruins advanced to the 3-Meter Final on the first day of the Trojan Diving Invitational, as freshman Maria Polyakova was fourth, sophomore Annika Lenz placed seventh and freshman Ciara Monahan finished 10th.
In the six-dive preliminaries, Polyakova was second with a score of 313.50, qualifying for the NCAA Zone Championships on her very first go-around. Lenz was ninth following her first six dives (260.30), while C.Monahan was 11th (249.90).
Two more Bruins just missed out on the Top 12 to reach the final, as junior Montana Monahan was shy by only .6 with a 240.10, good for 13th. Sophomore Danni Repper was 15th (236.95).
In the final, Polyakova was fourth in her last six dives with a total of 291.45. Lenz improved two spots from ninth to seventh (276.65), while C.Monahan jumped up one position to 10th (263.20).
Four Bruins are back on the boards on Saturday with the 1-Meter event, starting at 11 a.m., as Lenz, C.Monahan, Polyakova and Repper compete for the second straight day.
