LOS ANGELES - Freshman Maria Polyakova took home first-place honors on Saturday in the 1-Meter event at the Trojan Diving Invitational, leading the Bruins to a 1-3 finish as sophomore Annika Lenz finished third.

Polyakova, who was fourth in the 3-Meter in her first collegiate event on Friday, was third after Saturday's preliminaries with a six-dive score of 276.60. Lenz was fifth after her first half dozen dives (258.25), followed by freshman Ciara Monahan, who was sixth at 251.30. Sophomore Danni Repper was 21st in the prelims (211.00).

The Bruin freshman increased her score more than 44 points in her final six dives, recording a tally of 320.65 to out-pace USC's Haley Ishimatsu by 44.95 points. Lenz was third in the final with a 272.45, while Monahan finished 10th with a 244.05.

By virtue of their scores, Lenz and Polyakova qualified for the NCAA Zone Championships, which Polyakova qualified for in the 3-Meter on Friday.

The invitational concludes for Polyakova and Monahan with a pair of finals appearances. The Trojan Diving Invitational wraps up on Sunday at 11 a.m. with the Platform, as Lenz, Repper and junior Montana Monahan take to the tower.
