BOULDER, Colo. - Junior Jordan Anderson reached the 20-kill mark for the fifth time this season, hitting the number on the nose, adding a .444 hitting percentage and five digs, as the 12th-ranked Bruins swept Colorado on Sunday at the Coors Events Center. Set scores were 26-24, 25-15, 25-19.

The Bruins won their third straight match and improved to 13-3 overall, 4-2 in Pac-12 play and 11-0 in matches away from Westwood. The Buffaloes fell to 10-8 overall and 2-4 in league action.

The UCLA middles had another outstanding hitting match, combining for 12 kills and only one error in 21 attempts (.524). Junior Claire Felix tallied six kills and no errors in 11 attempts (.545), while junior Jennie Frager added six kills and one miscue in 10 swings (.500) to go with four blocks.

Sophomore Reily Buechler was also in double figures in kills with 11, redshirt junior Haley Lawless added eight and redshirt sophomore Ryann Chandler posted 46 assists, seven digs and two aces, setting the Bruins to a season-best .343 hitting percentage. Junior Taylor Formico recorded 12 digs, senior Karly Drolson added six with two aces and senior Rachel Inouye notched five digs.

After dropping the initial point of the match, the Bruins scored three in a row on two Lawless kills and a Drolson ace. Colorado went on a 5-2 run to go up 6-5, but a 4-0 streak by UCLA on two Felix kills, one from Buechler and a CU attack error put the visitors ahead by a set-best three. Colorado stormed back with a 13-7 run to take its own set-best lead of three at 19-16 before UCLA came back with another run to take the opener.

At 20-18 Buffaloes, three in a row for the Bruins on an Anderson kill, a Frager/Lawless block and a CU attack error made it 21-20. Six sideouts later, the Bruins had a set point at 24-23, but it was saved. A Buechler kill gave UCLA another try and Anderson crushed her team-best sixth kill of the opener to finish the 26-24 win. Buechler added four kills, while Felix and Lawless had three each. Drolson posted five digs, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .262 to .211.

The Bruins led wire-to-wire in the second set, scoring the first five points and nine of the first 10. Two Lawless kills, a Chandler ace, a kill by Anderson and a Colorado attack error made it 5-0, and after a sideout, kills by Anderson and Buechler, a Drolson ace and another Buffalo attack error increased the lead to 9-1.

UCLA's lead was never below seven for the rest of the set, reaching 10 for the first of two times following Chandler's second ace of the second to make it 17-7. Leading 23-15, back-to-back Anderson kills closed out the 25-15 victory. Anderson posted six kills for the second set in a row, while Buechler and Lawless added three apiece. Formico recorded five digs, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .464 to .200.

The Bruins trailed just once at 2-1 in the third before an 8-3 run made it 9-5 UCLA. Anderson (three kills) and Buechler (two kills and a combo block) were each a part of three points during the run. Colorado trimmed its deficit to one at 14-13, but could get no closer.

A 6-1 run catapulted the Bruins' lead to a set-best six at 20-14. Anderson had three kills and a solo roof during the run, Felix added a block and Chandler and Frager combined on a roof. Leading 23-19, the Bruins received a Buechler/Felix block to set up match point and a Buechler kill finished the 25-19 victory. Anderson had eight kills for the Bruins to again lead the way, Buechler added four and Frager posted three. Formico recorded five more digs, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .342 to .189.

The Bruins host Arizona on Friday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion. The match will be televised on Pac-12 Networks and will have a live audio stream on UCLABruins.com.
