KOHALA, HAWAI'I - The top-ranked Bruins are on the big island this week, taking part in the Nanea Pac-12 Preview. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played on Monday and Tuesday at the Nanea Golf Club's par-73, 6,372-yard layout.

The scoring fivesome for the Bruins are senior Hadas Libman, sophomores Lilia Vu and Bethany Wu and freshmen Mariel Galdiano and Clare Legaspi. Junior Joo Seo will make her UCLA debut as an individual. The Bruins begin their first round, a shotgun start on holes #1-#5, at 7:30 a.m. HT/10:30 a.m. PT in the order of Vu, Wu, Galdiano, Legaspi and Libman. Seo will start on the 18th hole. They will continue through with their second round Monday afternoon before finishing up the tournament with another 7:30 a.m. HT/10:30 a.m. PT shotgun start on Tuesday morning. Live scoring will be available here.

Joining the Bruins and host Hawai'i in the 11-team field are #3 Stanford, #15 Arizona State, #22 California, #30 Arizona, #43 Oregon, #47 Colorado, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State.

UCLA is the defending champion of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview, posting a three-round total of 1-over 877 a year ago. Senior Bronte Law was the top finisher for the Bruins with a T-4 finish (E, 219), but will not be in Hawai'i this week after appearing in Stage II of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament in Florida (Oct. 20-23). Law finished solo second (-6, 282) to advance to December's final stage of LPGA Q-School. Vu tied for eighth (+1, 220) as a freshman in this tournament, while Wu tied for 15th (+3, 223). In the other two years of this event, the Bruins finished second in 2013 and 2014.

The Bruins are coming off a victory at the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 14-16). The rain-shortened, 36-hole event saw UCLA win by 11 shots with a 4-over 572 total. Law won the event, her third-straight victory at the tournament, with a score of 7-under (135), a five-shot triumph. Vu tied for fifth (+1, 143), Wu tied for eighth (+2, 144), Galdiano tied for 34th (+8, 150) and Legaspi tied for 53rd (+11, 153).

Vu has a pair of top-five finishes this year after placing second (-10, 206) at the season-opening ANNIKA Intercollegiate. Wu tied for 14th (-5, 211) in that event, Galdiano tied for 27th (E, 216) and Legaspi tied for 43rd (+5, 221). Libman is playing in her first event in her senior season. She appeared in seven tournaments as a junior in 2015-2016, posting a scoring average of 77.3. Libman was the #5-starter for the Bruins in both the NCAA Regionals and the NCAA Championships. Seo transferred to UCLA after spending a year at UC Irvine. She played in five tournaments in 2014-2015 with the Anteaters, recording a scoring average of 77.9.
