UCLA Captures 3-1 Victory over Coastal Carolina

Los Angeles, Calif. - Seyi Adekoya scored the game-winning goal in the second half, while Felix Vobejda and Jose Hernandez each netted goals for the Bruins as UCLA earned a 3-1 win over Coastal Carolina in non-conference play on Saturday from Drake Stadium.
"It's nice to get a win after a few tough results," said UCLA head coach Jorge Salcedo. "Coastal Carolina is a good team and they have a lot of good players in their group. We had three good goals tonight and we are happy with the result and the victory."
UCLA scored the game-winning goal in the 59th minute as Adekoya received quick passes from Brian Iloski and Jose Hernandez and streaked down the right side of the field. Adekoya then took a strong shot to the far-left post that grazed the crossbar and went into the back of the net. It is Adekoya's third goal of the year and his first game-winner of the year.
The Bruins secured the victory with a last-minute goal when Hernandez took a through ball from Jackson Yueill and slotted it far post with just 46 seconds remaining in regulation. It is Hernandez's fourth goal of the season.
At halftime, the match was locked at 1-1. The Bruins got on the board first in the 13th minute as Vobejda received a pass from Yueill and took a shot from the top of the box. The ball tipped off the keeper's hands and hit the crossbar but was able to go over the goal line. It is Vobejda's fourth goal of the season and marks the third-straight game that he has scored.
The Chanticleers would tie the match in the 32nd minute as Martin Melchor collected a cross in the box and took a shot to the far-left post for his fifth goal of the season.
UCLA (8-6-1) returns to Pac-12 action next week when they travel to Washington and Oregon State for the final conference roadtrip of 2016.
