Junior Bronte Law was named to her third-straight Curtis Cup Team on Thursday. The Stockport, England native will represent Great Britain and Ireland.
Law, Golfweek's top-ranked collegiate golfer, was automatically selected as one of the four highest players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. She was 1-2-1 for GB&I in 2014 and 1-1-1 on the victorious squad in 2012.
The 2016 Curtis Cup Match will take place June 10-12 at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club in Enniskerry, Ireland near Dublin. The Match is a biennial international women's amateur golf competition between eight-player teams from the USA and GB&I. It consists of six foursomes (alternate-shot) matches, six four-ball matches and eight singles matches over three days of competition.
Law will be competing against current teammate Bethany Wu and future teammate Mariel Galdiano, who were named to the United States squad in February.
The Bruins had three players participate in the 2014 Curtis Cup, Alison Lee and Erynne Lee for the United States and Law for GB&I. The 2016 Curtis Cup Match will mark the seventh straight time at least one Bruin has represented either side: (Tiffany Lua, Law - 2012; Stephanie Kono, Lua - 2010; Tiffany Joh - 2008; Jane Park - 2006 and 2004).
Law, who has a pair of wins during her junior season, as well as two seconds and two T-4's, will represent UCLA at next week's NCAA Regionals, which will take the Bruins to Bryan, Texas and the Traditions Club.
