Last Time Out
UCLA had a record-setting night against No. 1 Akron last Monday, scoring a NCAA record three goals in a 32-second span while handing the Zips a thorough 6-1 loss. Sophomore midfielder Jackson Yueill and junior forward Abu Danladi, who had first entered the game at the start of the second half, keyed the scoring explosion. Danladi scored twice in 11 seconds to record the third-fastest consecutive goals in NCAA history. Yueill tied the UCLA school record with four assists in the game. Also scoring goals for the Bruins were Seyi Adekoya, Brian Iloski, Blayne Martinez and Jose Hernandez.

UCLA vs. Top 10
With the win over No. 1 Akron last week, the Bruins improved to 1-0-1 on the year against Top 10 teams and 9-3-5 since 2013.

Danladi's Dandy Debut
Junior forward Abu Danladi did not play in the team's first three games of the season due to a hamstring injury, but he made an epic season debut on Sept. 5 against Akron. Just eight minutes into his first game, he scored his first goal of the year, and then 11 seconds after that, he scored his second. Danladi came out of the game after scoring his second goal, which gives him a scoring rate of 0.22 goals per minute.

Yueill Ties School Record for Assists
Sophomore midfielder Jackson Yueill tied the school record for assists in a game with four in the Bruins' 6-1 win over Akron. Yueill had all four of his assists in the second half, including assists on the three goals that UCLA scored in a NCAA-record 32-second span. Yueill ranks second in the nation in assists with five and fourth in assists per game with 1.25. In just over one season, Yueill has already totaled 11 career assists.

National Leaders
In addition to Jackson Yueill ranking in the Top 5 in the nation in assists (2nd, 5), two other Bruins are in the Top 15 in various statistical categories. Midfielder Brian Iloski ranks second with two game-winning goals, and goalkeeper Juan Cervantes ranks 15th nationally and first in the Pac-12 with 19 saves.

Scouting the Matadors
CSUN enters Monday's game with a 2-2 overall record and is coming off a 1-0 loss at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Thursday. Nicholas Grinde leads the Matadors in scoring with two goals and five points. UCLA is 15-2-3 all-time against CSUN and has won the last two games in the series, including the last contest in 2014, 3-0, behind an own goal and two goals from Leo Stolz. CSUN's last win came in 2011, 3-2, in Los Angeles.

Scouting the Gauchos
UCSB lost its first match of the season on Friday, 4-2 vs. Butler, and will take on Akron on Monday. Kevin Feucht leads the team with three goals. Daniel Amo, Nick DePuy and Ahinga Selemani have two goals apiece. The Gauchos were ranked as high as fifth in the nation (Soccer America) this week. UCLA is 34-5-3 all-time against UCSB but the Gauchos took the last contest, 4-2, in Los Angeles a year ago. The Bruins won the last game contested in Santa Barbara, 1-0 in 2014.

In the Rankings
The Bruins' split over the weekend (loss to Duke, win over No. 1 Akron) also provided mixed results in the various polls. UCLA moved up one spot to eighth in the NSCAA rankings but slipped six spots to No. 10 in the Soccer America poll. Top Drawer Soccer's poll came out prior to the Akron game, so the Bruins fell to 22nd.
