Bruins Wrap Up First Round at The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. – Following one round of The Goodwin, the Bruins are tied for 15th after shooting an 18-over 298 on Thursday at the Stanford Golf Course.
Junior Corey Shaun and sophomore Phil Delisi lead the Bruin fivesome through 18 holes after posting 4-over 74s. Shaun eagled the 16th and also made birdies on #1 and #9 to go with eight bogeys. Delisi had three birdies on #10, #13 and #18, adding five bogeys and a double.
Junior Tyler Collier and sophomore Cole Madey are each tied for 63rd, shooting 5-over 75. Madey made three birdies on #16, #1 and #5 to go with eight bogeys, while Collier birdied #1 and had six bogeys. Freshman Hidetoshi Yoshihara is tied for 81st after a 6-over 76. He birdied the eighth, made five bogeys and one double.
UCLA opens its second round at 7:30 a.m. on Friday off the first tee in the order of Delisi, Shaun, Collier, Madey and Yoshihara. Live scoring will be available here.
