12TH-RANKED BRUINS ON THE ROAD FOR FOUR GAMES
The 12th-ranked Bruins take on CSUN in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. before heading to Stanford for a three-game Pac-12 series (Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m.). Wednesday's game will feature free live audio on UCLABruins.com, while free video for Friday and Sunday's contests at Stanford will have links on the softball schedule page.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Bruins host #2 Arizona next weekend in UCLA's final regular-season series at Easton Stadium. Game one will be on Friday, May 5 at 5 p.m. on Pac-12 Network, game two will be on Saturday, May 6 at 6 p.m. on ESPNU and game three will be on Sunday, May 7 at 1 p.m. on ESPN2. Seniors Gabrielle Maurice, Paige McDuffee and Delaney Spaulding will be honored prior to Sunday's contest.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
UCLA is 12th in both national polls this week, improving one spot from 13th in this week's USA Today/NFCA poll and two positions from 14th in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings.

SCOUTING THE CSUN MATADORS
CSUN brings a 27-16 overall record into Wednesday's game and is tied for third in Big West Conference play at 7-5. The Matadors, who are 13-3 at home this season, are hitting .288 as a team with 43 home runs and 64 stolen bases, averaging 5.0 runs per game. Senior Taylor Glover leads the team with a .429 average, 21 stolen bases and 35 runs batted in, senior Katie Hooper is second with a .351 average and tied for third with seven homers and 29 RBI and junior Savannah Horvath and freshman Jessica Alexander are each hitting at least .300 and tied for the team lead with eight homers. Sophomore Taylor Troost is 10-6 with a 2.11 earned run average and 51 strikeouts in 99 2/3 innings, senior Daphne Pofek is 13-6 with a 2.33 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 114 innings and senior Rebecca Bell is 4-2 with a 2.62 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 48 innings.

THE SERIES: BRUINS VS. MATADORS
UCLA has won four in a row against CSUN, including a 6-0 victory at Easton Stadium last April 13. The Bruins are 44-10 all-time against the Matadors and 16-5 in Northridge. The last matchup at CSUN was on March 26, 2015, as UCLA won 6-4 in 10 innings.

SCOUTING THE STANFORD CARDINAL
Stanford won its first Pac-12 game of the season last Sunday, winning at Oregon State 8-6 in eight innings. The Cardinal, who are 18-24 overall and 1-14 in league play, are hitting .285 as a team with 16 home runs and eight stolen bases, averaging 4.6 runs per game. Senior Kylie Sorenson and freshman Teaghan Cowles are tied for the team lead with a .355 batting average, while Sorenson is tied for first with 28 runs batted in. Senior Bessie Noll is batting .316 with a team-best 38 walks. In the circle, sophomore Carolyn Lee is 8-15 with a 4.95 earned run average and 79 strikeouts in 116 innings, freshman Kiana Pancino is 5-4 with a 5.36 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 65 1/3 innings and freshman Nikki Bauer is 5-4 with a 5.86 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 69 1/3 innings.

THE SERIES: BRUINS VS. CARDINAL
The Bruins have won eight straight against the Cardinal and hold a 65-20 advantage all-time. During the eight-game winning streak, UCLA has outscored Stanford 77-21. The Bruins are 32-7 in games at Stanford after sweeping up there in 2015.
