
UCLA Swim Meet Postponed, Bruin Divers Top-10 at USC Invite

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA swim team's scheduled meet against UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego on Saturday morning was postponed due to poor air quality in the area.
The meet is tentatively re-scheduled to be completed on Jan. 11, 2019, pending pool availability.
Meanwhile, a pair of Bruins divers competed on day two of the Trojan Diving Invitational at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center on the campus of USC.
Freshman Veronica Thompson was UCLA's highest finisher in the 3m competition, totaling a score of 479.80 over the prelims and finals. Senior Traci Shiver was 10th overall with a score of 432.30.
The duo will be joined by senior Madeline Russell on Sunday in the final day of the Trojan Diving Invitational, which will be comprised of the platform prelims and championship. Competition is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
The UCLA swim team is next in action on from Nov. 29-Dec. 1 at the Georgia Fall Invitational in Athens, Ga
