FOURTH-RANKED BRUINS BACK HOME VERSUS #24 OSU
The fourth-ranked Bruins return to Easton Stadium this weekend for their first home Pac-12 Conference series, hosting Oregon State on Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m. and Monday at 1 p.m. None of the games will be televised, however free live audio will be available for all three contests at UCLABruins.com.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Bruins are back on the road for an Easter weekend series at Utah. The series begins on Thursday, March 29 at 5 p.m., continues on Friday, March 30 at 5 p.m. and concludes on Saturday, March 31 at 12 p.m. All three games will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
The Bruins are fourth in both weekly polls this week, earning 689 points in the USA Today/NFCA ranking and 432 points and one first-place vote in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. UCLA is one of seven Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 25 of either poll: Washington (#1 NFCA/#1 USA Softball), Oregon (#3 USA Softball/#5 NFCA), Arizona (#9 NFCA/#9 USA Softball), Arizona State (#10 USA Softball/#12 NFCA), California (#20 NFCA/#20 Arizona State) and Oregon State (#24 USA Softball/RV NFCA). In the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches poll, UCLA was second, earning 55 points and a pair of first-place votes.

NEWS AND NOTES
The Bruins were the final remaining undefeated team in college softball this season, entering last Saturday's game with a 25-0 record. UCLA's start was tied for the fifth best in program history. In three of the other five seasons where the Bruins started a year with at least 25 consecutive wins, they won the NCAA Championship (1992, 1999, 2004) ... with the Feb. 25 win against Missouri, head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez earned the 500th victory of her career ... after posting 13 comeback victories last season, the Bruins already have five this year ... UCLA has won 76 in a row when ahead after five innings (14 times this season).

SCOUTING THE OREGON STATE BEAVERS
Oregon State (19-10) won its Pac-12 opening series at home last weekend against California, winning game one, 10-5, and game three, 8-3, while losing the middle contest, 12-0. The Beavers have five wins against ranked teams, including a pair of victories over Oklahoma State. Oregon State is hitting .277 as a team with 18 home runs and 34 stolen bases, averaging 4.52 runs per game. Five Beavers are hitting .300 or better, led by freshman Hope Brandner, who leads the team with a .316 average, seven homers and 19 RBI. Junior Shelby Weeks is second on the team with a .311 average, while freshman Missy Nunes is second with four homers. Junior Meehra Nelson holds a team-low 1.78 earned run average, recording a 10-4 record and 69 strikeouts in 74 2/3 innings. Freshman Mariah Mazon is 8-6 with a 2.58 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 86 2/3 innings, while sophomore Nerissa Eason is 1-0 with a 3.82 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings.

SERIES HISTORY: BRUINS VS. BEAVERS
UCLA holds a 97-15 advantage in the all-time series against Oregon State, but the Beavers won their first-ever series versus the Bruins last year in Corvallis, winning games one (8-0 in five innings) and three (8-5). UCLA claimed the middle matchup by a score of 7-5. The Bruins are 52-5 at home against Oregon State, having won 15 of the last 17.
