The Bruins led by at least one for the remainder of the set. At 19-18, kills by Mosser and May and a Ryan block put UCLA up by four, as a Washington attack error finished up a five-point win. May had 10 of the Bruins' 19 kills in the third. Simo was 5-for-13 with no errors, Thompson added four digs and Barry had three digs. The Bruins out-hit the Huskies, .529 to .424.
UCLA held as big as a four-point lead in the fourth, but were unable to hold on, as Washington wrapped up the win.
