CARLSBAD, Calif. - Junior Mariel Galdiano has received an invitation to play in the LPGA Kia Classic, which will take place March 28-31 at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.
Galdiano, who earlier this month was named to the U.S. Arnold Palmer Cup team for the second year in a row and is ranked 16th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, will be playing in her seventh professional event, having played in four U.S. Women's Opens (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017), the 2013 Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters (Taiwan), the 2015 Canadian Pacific Women's Open and the 2016 LPGA Cambia Portland Classic.
Galdiano has a pair of victories in her junior collegiate season, winning the Golfweek Conference Challenge (Sept. 24-26) and the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 19-21). She has four Top 10s and has finished in the Top 20 in six of seven events. Galdiano has nine under-par rounds this season and four in the 60s.
