PHOENIX - Senior Beth Wu tied a career high with a 6-under 66 on Saturday at the Papago Golf Course, as she moved into a tie for sixth after 36 holes at the PING/ASU Invitational. As a team, UCLA is tied for eighth at 15-over 591 after a 7-over 295.

Wu is at 3-under 141 following her bogey-free round. Shooting nine strokes better than Friday, she made birdies on No. 1, three in a row on No. 5-7, another on the 10th and a final one on the 15th.

Sophomore Patty Tavatanakit is tied for 20th (+2, 146), posting a 1-over 73 for the second round in a row. She made three birdies on her opening hole, the 14th and the 15th to go with four bogeys. Junior Clare Legaspi is tied for 52nd (+7, 151), shooting a 6-over 78 on one birdie (No. 7), five bogeys and a double. Sophomore Vera Markevich is tied for 62nd (+10, 154), recording a 7-over 79 on back-to-back birdies on No. 15 and 16 and nine bogeys. Freshman Phoebe Yue is 84th (+21, 165), shooting a 6-over 78 on a ninth-hole birdie and seven bogeys.

The Bruins begin their final round on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. off the first tee in the order of Yue, Markevich, Legaspi, Tavatanakit and Wu.
