Bruins Head to Pacific Northwest for SeattleU Redhawk Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - The Bruins begin a stretch of three tournaments over the next two weeks on Monday, as they take part in the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational. The 54-hole tournament will take place on Monday and Tuesday at the Chambers Bay Golf Course, the site of the 2015 U.S. Open.
The starting fivesome for the Bruins will be seniors Jack Ireland and Cole Madey, junior Hidetoshi Yoshihara, sophomore Devon Bling and freshman Sean Maruyama. Additionally, senior Patrick Murphy, sophomore Eddy Lai and freshmen Ahmed Ali and Bryan Wiyang Teoh will be playing as individuals. Players will face 36 holes of action on Monday, starting at 8 a.m., while Tuesday's final round will also begin at 8 a.m.
Joining the Bruins, who are ranked No. 41 in the latest Golfstat rankings, in the 19-team field by host Seattle U, Cal Baptist, Drexel, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Indiana, Little Rock, Northern Colorado, Oregon State, Rutgers, Sacramento State, Seton Hall, UC Irvine, UT Arlington, Utah, Washington and Winthrop.
