Bruins Tied for Fourth After Day Two of Pac-12s

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. - The Bruins are tied for fourth following 36 holes of the Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship, shooting a 9-over 293 for the second day in a row at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. UCLA is tied with Arizona State and four strokes behind third-place Arizona (+14).

Senior Beth Wu is the top Bruin after two rounds, sitting in a tie for ninth at 2-over 144. She shot a 2-over 73, making back-to-back birdies on No. 10 and 11 and four bogeys. 

Junior Mariel Galdiano and sophomore Patty Tavatanakit are each tied for 13th at 4-over 146. Galdiano posted a 1-over 72 on three birdies (No. 9, 14 and 16), two bogeys and a double. Tavatanakit shot a 2-over 73 for the second round in a row, recording two birdies (No. 7 and 16) and four bogeys. Freshman Phoebe Yue is tied for 25th (+8, 150), notching a second-straight, 4-over 75. She made three birdies on No. 4, 8 and 16, three bogeys and two doubles. Junior Clare Legaspi is 43rd (+13, 155) following an 8-over 79 on six bogeys and a double.

The Bruins' final round begins on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. off the first tee in the order of Legaspi, Yue, Tavatanakit, Galdiano and Wu.
