LAKE ELMO, Minn. - With one round remaining at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M, the Bruins are in ninth place (+12, 588) following a 9-over 297 on Tuesday at the Royal Golf Club.

Senior Mariel Galdiano and freshman Ty Akabane each had the best rounds of the day for UCLA with 1-over 73s. Galdiano, who is tied for 30th overall (+4, 148), made two birdies on No. 15 and 18 and three bogeys. Akabane, in 51st (+8, 152), recorded four birdies (No. 11, 15, 18 and 2), three bogeys and a double. Freshman Emma Spitz is the top Bruin after 36 holes, sitting in a tie for 22nd (+2, 146). She shot a 2-over 74 on three birdies (No. 12, 15 and 5) and five bogeys. Senior Clare Legaspi is tied for 30th (+4, 148), shooting a 5-over 77 on four birdies (No. 11, 18, 3 and 7), two bogeys, a triple and a quad. Sophomore Simar Singh is 59th (+16, 160), which included a birdie on the 18th in a 15-over 87.

The Bruins close out the ANNIKA on Wednesday at 8:35 a.m. CT/6:35 a.m. PT on the 10th tee in the order of Singh, Akabane, Legaspi, Galdiano and Spitz.
