No. 24 Bruins Set for 2020 Pac-12 Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. โ The No. 24-ranked UCLA swim and dive team will begin the 2020 postseason this week with the Pac-12 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center.
Tickets are available online and will also be available for purchase at the venue entrance on the day of the event. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for the morning session and 5:00 p.m. for the evening session. Seating is first-come, first-serve.
UCLA enters the league championship with a 7-3 overall record in dual meets. The Bruins won seven consecutive meets to open the season, Jordan Wolfrum's first as head coach, including victories over Pac-12 rivals Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, and Washington State.
The Bruins are coming off a sixth-place finish at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships. Key performers included Maria Polyakova (1M diving and 3M diving champion), Claire Grover (third-place in the 50 free, 21.98), and the UCLA 200 free relay team (third place, 1:28.96).
Men's diving will also be part of the four-day event, scheduled to run Wednesday through Saturday. The weekend will wrap with the Pac-12 Swimming Invitational on Sunday.
Fans can tune into the final of each event all week long on the Pac-12 Now app or Pac-12.com. Friday's finals session will also appear on Pac-12 Los Angeles while Saturday's finals will appear on the Pac-12 Network.

The 2020 Pac-12 Championships will open on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. with the 800 free relay and 400 medley relay. Thursday night's competition brings 1M diving, 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, and 200 free relay.
Friday's finals include the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 3M diving, and 200 medley relay.
The championships conclude on Sunday with the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, platform diving, and 400 free relay.
Wednesday outlook: UCLA enters the 400 medley relay as the No. 6 seed and the 800 free relay as the No. 8 seed.
Thursday outlook: UCLA has a pair of top contenders on the first full day of Pac-12s โฆ Junior Ruby Neave is the top seed in 1M diving โฆ The Bruins have three of the top-10 seeds in the 1M competition, as Neave is joined by freshman Hannah Butler (No. 6) and junior Alice Yanovsky (No. 8) โฆ A year after finishing third in the 50 free at Pac-12s, Claire Grover is the No. 2 seed going into this year at 22.13 โฆ Kenisha Liu is UCLA's top seed in the 200 IM at No. 18.
Friday outlook: Amy Okada is favored to make an A Final in the 100 back, as she is the No. 5 seed at 53.02 โฆ UCLA has two of the top-10 seeds in the 100 breast: Rachel Rhee (7, 1:00.55) and Claire Grover (10, 1:00.70) โฆ UCLA has four divers seeded in the 3M championship, led by Alice Yanovsky (No. 5) โฆ Sophia Kosturos rounds out the Bruins' top-10 Friday seeds, as she enters the weekend at No. 9 in the 100 back (53.55).
