LOS ANGELES - The fourth-ranked Bruins scored 13 times in their first inning of work on Sunday, belting four home runs in a 17-0, five-inning win over Pittsburgh before completing a 6-0 weekend with a 9-1, five-inning victory over San Diego at Easton Stadium.

In game one versus the Panthers (2-3), UCLA recorded 12 hits from 10 different players. Sophomore Anna Vines and freshman Maya Brady each had two hits, while freshman Seneca Curo drove in five runs. In the circle, junior Holly Azevedo and freshman Lexi Sosa combined on a three-hit shutout. Azevedo (2-0) struck out two in three innings, giving up just two hits. Sosa fanned four in two innings of relief, allowing one hit and one walk.

The Bruins sent 16 batters to the plate in the bottom of the first, scoring a baker's dozen. Curo accounted for five of the RBI on a bases-loaded hit by pitch and a grand slam, her second homer of the season. Junior Briana Perez and freshman Alyssa Garcia both added two-out singles, freshman Maya Brady drew a bases-loaded walk and junior Kinsley Washington scored on both a passed ball and an error, while also putting a ball in play leading to a Pitt error and another Bruin run.

In the third, Brady launched her fourth home run of the weekend to right to bring the lead to 14-0. UCLA tacked on three more in the fourth on two swings of the bat. Freshman Sara Rusconi Vicinanza led off with a homer to center, the first of her career, to make it 15-0. After a single to right by junior Julie Rodriguez, Vines picked up her first-ever home run, a shot to right field, to extend the lead to 17-0.

In game two, the Bruins recorded 15 hits from nine different players, as the top of the lineup, Washington and Perez, each had three hits, while the No. 9 hitter, sophomore Kelli Godin, added two. Sophomore Megan Faraimo struck out seven in five innings to improve to 3-0 on the season, allowing a run and four hits.

For the fifth time in six games this weekend, UCLA scored in the first inning. Washington led off with a double and moved to third on a Perez sacrifice. After redshirt junior Aaliyah Jordan walked and stole second, Brady reached on an infield single to score Washington with the game's first run. Junior Delanie Wisz followed with a grounder to short, but Jordan came in to make it 2-0.

San Diego (2-2) got on the board in the second, but the Bruins added two more runs in the bottom half. Garcia led off with a double to left-center, and one out later, moved to third on an infield single by Godin, who would end up advancing to second on the play. An infield single by Washington brought home Garcia to make it 3-1, while a Perez single up the middle plated Godin with the Bruins' fourth run.

In the third, Curo walked to open the frame and came home one out later on a double to right-center by Faraimo to make it 5-1. With Vines running for Faraimo, Godin laid down a bunt for a hit and reached second on the play, with both runners coming home on a Washington single to extend the lead to 7-1.

Single runs in the fourth and fifth would end the game. Wisz led off with a double in the fourth, with junior Alana Snow coming in to run. Snow would move to third on a Curo single and scored on a Garcia hit to make it 8-1. In the fifth, Perez singled up the middle, moved to second on a Jordan walk and scored when Brady reached on an error.

The Bruins are off to Clearwater, Fla. next weekend for the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational. UCLA's first game is at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET on Friday, Feb. 14 against Alabama and will be televised on ESPNU.
