November 03, 2022 | Swimming & Diving

LOS ANGELES โ€“ The UCLA swim and dive team is all set to host its only home dual meets of the fall this weekend, welcoming in Pac-12 rivals Arizona and Arizona State for a pair of competitions at Spieker Aquatics Center.

The Bruins will first face Arizona on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. PT, followed by a showdown with ASU on Saturday morning starting at 11:00 a.m. PT. This is the first time the Bruins have hosted the Arizona schools since Nov. 2-3, 2018.

Live results for both meets will be available on the MeetMobile app. Bruin-centric updatesย can also be found on the official team Twitter account, @UCLASwimAndDive.

The Bruins own a 21-19 record all-time against the Wildcats, including a 1-1 mark under fourth-year head coach Jordan Wolfrum.

UCLA is 27-11-1 all-time against the Sun Devils, going 1-1 under Wolfrum.

The Bruins are looking to continue an unbeaten start to the 2022-23 campaign, having logged dual meet wins over UC Santa Barbara and Utah in addition to a first-place finish at the seven-team Fresno State Invitational.

Individual highlights for the Bruins so far include NCAA B Cuts for Claire Grover in the 50 free (22.51) and Ashley Kolessar in the 400 IM (4:16.44), a pool record at Utah in the 200 breast for Ana Jih-Schiff (2:15.28), and would-be Zones-qualifying scores in 3-meter diving for Hannah Butler (307.28) and Zoe Jespersgaard (288.60).

Arizona enters the weekend with a 2-1 record in dual meets, with wins coming against Grand Canyon and Miami. ASU, meanwhile, enters with an 0-4 dual meet record. Both schools will also compete at USC this weekend.ย
