No. 24 UCLA Prepares for Duals at Stanford, Cal
January 26, 2023 | Swimming & Diving
The UCLA swim and dive team will make its final trip outside of Los Angeles for the 2022-23 regular season this weekend, traveling for dual meets at Pac-12 rivals Stanford and California.
Bruin swimmers will race at Stanford starting at 2:00 p.m. PT on Friday, Jan. 27, followed by an 11:00 a.m. start at Cal's Spieker Aquatics Complex on Saturday, Jan. 28.
Meanwhile, UCLA's divers will compete exclusively at Stanford for the weekend, alongside USC (Cal has no active divers on their roster at present, so will not compete in those events this weekend). The divers will compete in both springboard events starting at 1:00 p.m. PT on Friday, with those finishes counting in dual scoring against Stanford and California. The three schools will then perform on tower and 3M on Saturday, though those results will not factor into team scoring.
Both of UCLA's swim meets can be streamed through Pac-12.com, with live results available on the MeetMobile app. Live scoring from the diving events at Stanford can be viewed at DiveMeets.com.
The Bruins enter the weekend the weekend with an undefeated 6-0 record in dual meets, including a 3-0 mark against Pac-12 competition. This weekend marks UCLA's first league dual meet since Nov. 5 against Arizona State (a 183-116 victory in Westwood). The Bruins were ranked No. 24 in the latest CSCAA Top-25.
Stanford enters the weekend with a record of 5-0, 4-0, and was ranked No. 3 in the January CSCAA poll. No. 11 California is 5-1 on the year, falling to Arizona State on Jan. 21 in their most-recent meet.
