Swim & Dive Travels to WSU For First Dual of 2023-24

October 12, 2023 | Swimming & Diving

The UCLA swim and dive team is set for its first dual meet of the 2023-24 season, heading to Pullman, Wash. this weekend to face Washington State.

Competition is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. PT on Friday from WSU's Gibb Pool.

The meet will be live streamed by WSU via Pac-12.com/live. Live results will not be available.

The Bruins are coming off a first-place finish at the Fresno State Invite last weekend. UCLA dominated the five-team meet, winning 11 of 21 events overall and placing first and/or second in all but one race. Graduate freestyler Brooke Schaffer and junior Ana Jih-Schiff each won multiple individual events at the meet, with the latter earning a UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week nomination.

Washington State finished third at the same meet, scoring 776 points as a team compared to UCLA's 1,207. The Cougars were 2-6 in dual meets last season, and finished eighth at the 2023 Pac-12 Championships.
