NO. 25 UCLA WELCOMES OREGON, MARYLAND FOR TWO-MATCH HOMESTAND
The No. 25-ranked UCLA women's volleyball team will welcome Oregon and Maryland to Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom Financial for a two-match home stand. The Bruins will host the Ducks on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. (PT). UCLA will then take on Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. (PT) to complete the weekend. Both matches will be nationally broadcast on Big Ten Network.

LAST TIME OUT
Over the weekend, UCLA experienced a split on the road, falling to No. 9 Wisconsin in straight sets before rebounding with a dominant sweep over Iowa. Against Wisconsin, the Bruins struggled offensively, hitting just .062 as the Badgers controlled all three sets behind Mimi Colyer's 16 kills and a .267 team hitting percentage. Marianna Singletary led UCLA with 11.5 points, while Cheridyn Leverette added nine kills. Two days later in Iowa City, UCLA bounced back with a commanding performance, hitting .319 and serving up a season-high nine aces. Leverette starred with 15 kills and reached 1,000 career kills, while Duffey dished out 35 assists and six aces. The Bruins closed the match with a 25-9 third set, securing their third sweep in the last four matches.

DUFFEY DIMES
Kate Duffey garnered Big Ten Setter of the Week honors after orchestrating UCLA's offensive dominance by dishing out 66 assists in the team's back-to-back ranked sweeps. She went for 36 assists and nine digs in an excellent performance at No. 14 Minnesota and followed that up with her fourth double-double of the season, handing out 30 assists and snuffing out 11 digs against No. 22 USC. Defensively, she totaled five blocks and 20 digs. This is the first weekly honor of Duffey's career.
SPECTACULAR SINGLETARY
Marianna Singletary was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring UCLA's defense, averaging a formidable 2.00 blocks per set across the two-match stretch. She racked up 12 total blocks, including one solo, while adding 14 kills on an impressive .400 hitting percentage to round out a dominant all-around performance. This is Singletary's fourth career conference weekly honor. The Charleston, S.C. native won three consecutive SEC Defensive Player of the Week awards last season at Texas.

UCLA PICKED FIFTH
UCLA was picked to finish fifth out of 18 teams in the 2025 Big Ten Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll. In its first season as a Big Ten member, UCLA women's volleyball finished 14-15 overall and 8-12 in conference play. The Bruins recorded notable wins over No. 14 Georgia Tech, No. 24 Washington, and Ohio State, while pushing several ranked opponents to five sets, including reigning NCAA National Champion Penn State. Nebraska was picked as the conference favorite, followed by Penn State, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The Cornhuskers posted a regular season record of 33-3 and finished atop the Big Ten standings with a 19-1 mark in conference play. Four Bruins earned spots on the 20-member Big Ten Volleyball Preseason All-Conference Team, tying Nebraska for the most selections in the league. Outside hitters Cheridyn Leverette and Maggie Li joined middle blockers Marianna Singletary and Phekran Kong in receiving the preseason honors.
