Seo was seventh at the California Women's Amateur Championship (+1, 145), making the round of 16 in match play.
2016-2017
Played in four stroke-play events (12 rounds), as well as the Gifford Great 8 Match Play Collegiate, recording a 79.3 scoring average ... tied for 37th at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic (+14, 230), tied for 58th at the Bruin Wave Invitational (+25, 244), tied for 59th at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview (+26, 245) and tied for 77th at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge (+19, 232).
SUMMER 2016
Tied for fourth at the California Women's Championship in July in Ojai ... tied for 46th at the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship.

Played in five tournaments and 15 rounds at UC Irvine for the 2014-2015 season, posting a scoring average of 77.9 ... top finish of the season was a T-12 at the Rose City Collegiate (+9, 225) ... tied for 39th at the Rainbow Invitational ... season-best rounds were 73's at the UCI Invitational (final round) and Rose City (second round).

Born Joo Youn Seo in Seoul, South Korea ... parents are Seung Jin and Min Seok Seo ... has an older sister, Jiji ... chose to attend UCLA because it is the perfect balance of a prestigious golf program with outstanding athletics ... number one reason she competes in golf is because although it can be frustrating at times, the feeling of playing a good round is the best ... thing she likes the most about golf is that the scenery always changes and no course is exactly like the other ... biggest athletic thrill so far is shooting a 7-under 65 to win her last junior tournament ... athlete she admires the most is Rory McIlroy ... favorites include actors Zac Efron and Ryan Reynolds, the bands The Wombats, Cage the Elephant, Coldplay, Killers and Kygo and the television show "House" ... hobbies include going to the beach, concerts and Disneyland ... majoring in economics.
