LOS ANGELES - The UCLA men's golf team fired the low round of the day and senior Brandon DiTullio posted a final round 70 en route to capturing individual medalist honors at the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational at Coto de Caza Country Club.
The Bruins' final round score of 290 was the low round of the tournament and vaulted them past three teams into third place at 894. Washington finished first at 886, followed by Stanford at 892. Host UC Irvine finished fourth at 898, followed by Colorado State at 900.
DiTullio won his second collegiate tournament with a 54-hole total of 213, three under par. His first round score of 67, five-under par, was the low round of the tournament. He beat second place Lee Phillips of North Texas by four shots.
UCLA senior Jason Semelsberger and freshman Travis Johnson tied for 19th place at 223, Johnson fired a final round score of 72, even par. Sophomore Parker McLachlin posted a final round 74 for a 54-hole total of 238, tied for 88th, followed by junior Kevin Bodlovich, who tied for 95th at 240. Freshman J.T. Kohut, playing as an individual, tied for 84th at 237.
