LOS ANGELES โ Sophomores Mac May (11 kills, 11 digs) and Jenny Mosser (11 kills, 10 digs) each had double-doubles, as the 20th-ranked Bruins recorded their third sweep in a row, defeating No. 23 Arizona in three sets on Friday at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. Set scores were 26-24, 25-22, 25-23.

May added three aces, as did junior Kylie Miller, who contributed 30 assists and seven digs. Senior Zana Muno collected 18 digs and junior Madeleine Gates had seven kills and no errors in 15 attempts for a .467 hitting percentage. Junior Savvy Simo notched eight digs, redshirt freshman Alexis Light had six kills and senior Kyra Rogers registered four kills. The Bruins hit .221 for the match.

Set one featured seven ties and four lead changes, with the Bruins' largest lead being four and Arizona's being two. After trailing 3-1, UCLA (10-5, 5-3 Pac-12) scored six of seven to go ahead by three. May served two aces and had a kill, Miller served an ace and Arizona (14-5, 3-4 Pac-12) made a pair of errors. Even at nine, kills by Gates and Mosser, a May solo stuff and two Wildcat errors as part of a 5-1 run gave the Bruins a four-point lead at 14-10. Trailing 20-16, Arizona scored six of seven to re-take the lead at 22-21. The Bruins rallied with three in a row on kills by Gates and May and an Arizona attack error to give UCLA a pair of set points. The Wildcats saved both attempts, but a Rogers kill and a Miller ace gave the Bruins a 26-24 win. Mosser led the Bruins with four kills in the opener, while Gates, Light and May each had three. Muno added five digs and Simo contributed four. The Bruins out-hit the Wildcats, .178 to .154.
