The 20th-ranked Bruins travel to the Evergreen State this weekend, facing No. 19 Washington on Friday at 6 p.m. and No. 23 Washington State on Sunday at 12 p.m. The UCLA-UW contest will air on Pac-12 Networks National, Los Angeles and Washington, while the UCLA-WSU tilt will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks Washington.

The Bruins end the month of October with a pair of home matches at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom against California next Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. and No. 2 Stanford next Sunday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. The UCLA-Cal match will feature a free video stream on UCLABruins.com, while the UCLA-Stanford contest will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
BRUINS IN THE POLLS
The Bruins remained at 20th in this week's AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll for the second week in a row. UCLA is one of seven Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 25 (No. 2 Stanford, No. 14 USC, No. 16 Oregon, No. 19 Washington, No. 23 Washington State and No. 25 Arizona), with Utah, Arizona State and Colorado also receiving votes. In addition, the Bruins also played No. 12 Cal Poly and No. 24 Baylor.

The Bruins picked up the 1,300th victory in program history last Wednesday against Arizona State ... speaking of 1,300, senior Zana Muno surpassed that career total in digs versus the Sun Devils, putting her into fifth in UCLA history. Muno has 1,323 digs as a Bruin and is 82 behind Samantha Shaver (1,405) for fourth place ... the Bruins had 22 blocks in the Sept. 2 victory at then-No. 19 San Diego, their highest total since Nov. 8, 2007 against Oregon State. This century, UCLA has five matches with at least 20 blocks, with the 22 at USD ranking third on that list ... the Bruins are 9-0 when winning the third set of a match, as well as 6-0 when winning set four ... UCLA is 8-0 when leading the match in hitting ... the Bruins are 5-0 when leading in blocks ... UCLA is 3-0 in five-set matches ... in her last six matches, senior Kyra Rogers has only six hitting errors, recording 32 kills in 77 attempts for a .338 hitting percentage. She also has seven aces during that six-match stretch, including tying a career high with three against both California on Sept. 28 and Oregon State on Oct. 6 ... sophomore Jenny Mosser recorded her team-leading sixth double-double of the season and eighth of her career against Arizona last Friday with 11 kills and 10 digs. Along with averaging 3.44 digs per set during the Bruins' three-match winning streak, Mosser has also served four aces ... Muno has double figures in digs in 12 matches, including five in a row since returning to the libero position. She is averaging 5.59 digs per set in her last handful of matches, and has also provided five assists in each of the Bruins' last three contests ... after entering the Cal match with 18 career kills in 23 sets, redshirt freshman Alexis Light has 48 kills in her last 17 for an average of 2.82 kills per set. She went for a personal-best 19 kills in Berkeley, hitting .405 ... junior Kylie Miller posted her second double-double of the season (eighth career) versus ASU with 33 assists and 13 digs. In the last three matches, Miller has quarterbacked the Bruin offense to a .273 hitting percentage ... junior Savvy Simo has at least five digs in all but one match this season. She has eight double-figure digs contests, going for a career-high 25 at Cal Poly on Sept. 7 ... sophomore Mac May has double figures in kills in 12 of 15 matches, having gone for at least 20 twice this season, including 20 at California. She posted the fourth double-double of her season and career against Arizona when she went for 11 kills and 11 digs. May is just as effective behind the baseline, as she has seven aces in her last two matches and multiple aces on eight occasions this season ... junior Madeleine Gates has at least seven kills in all but one match this season, including double figures in seven of them. She has just 26 hitting errors in 15 matches, including none versus Arizona, as she recorded back-to-back, .400 hitting percentage contests last week. Gates, who has hit at least .300 in 10 matches this season, also has at least five blocks in five tilts.
SCOUTING THE WASHINGTON HUSKIES
Washington (13-5, 5-3 Pac-12) has alternated wins and losses in its last six matches, sweeping Cal last Friday before getting swept at Stanford last Saturday. The Huskies are averaging 13.32 kills, 1.67 aces, 13.26 digs and 2.32 blocks per set, hitting .233 as a team. Four players are averaging at least two kills per set, with junior Kara Bajema leading the way at 3.88 kps. Sophomore Samantha Drechsel is second at 3.19 kps, followed by sophomore Lauren Sanders (2.04) and senior Destiny Julye (2.03). Freshman Ella May Powell handles the setting duties and is recording 10.45 assists per set. Junior Shayne McPherson is tops on the squad with 3.94 digs per set, while Sanders is first with 1.07 blocks per set.ย
THE SERIES: UCLA VS. WASHINGTON
The Bruins lead the all-time series with Washington, 43-29, but will be looking to snap a nine-match losing streak to the Huskies on Friday. UCLA's last victory versus UW came in Los Angeles on Oct. 28, 2012. The Bruins, who are 19-19 in matches played in Seattle, have not won at Alaska Airlines Arena since Oct. 3, 2003 (15 matches).
SCOUTING THE WASHINGTON STATE COUGARS
Washington State (13-5, 4-4 Pac-12), which hosts USC on Friday, lost a pair of matches last weekend to Stanford (three sets) and California (four) to see its four-match winning streak snapped. The Cougars are averaging 13.18 kills, 1.44 aces, 14.55 digs and 2.60 blocks per set, hitting .252 as a team. Four players are collecting at least two kills per set, led by senior Taylor Mims' 3.97 kps. Senior McKenna Woodford is second at 3.11 kps, followed by senior Ella Lajos (2.32) and redshirt junior Jocelyn Urias (2.08). Junior Ashley Brown quarterbacks the offense and is posting 10.58 assists per set. Junior Alexis Dirige is first with 4.21 digs per set, while Lajos (1.17), Urias (1.17) and senior Claire Martin (1.10) are each averaging over one block per set.
THE SERIES: UCLA VS. WASHINGTON STATE
The Bruins lead the all-time series with Washington State, 54-9, with the teams each winning on their home courts in 2017. UCLA knocked off WSU in four in Westwood and the Cougars won in five in Pullman. The Bruins hold a 25-6 mark at Wazzu.
