The 20th-ranked Bruins complete their four-match homestand this week with a Wednesday matchup against No. 25 Arizona State and a Friday contest versus No. 23 Arizona. Both matches start at 7 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. Wednesday's affair will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, while Friday's match will feature a free live video stream on UCLABruins.com, with both tilts having free live audio on UCLABruins.com.

The Bruins head to the Evergreen State to face No. 18 Washington on Friday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. and No. 21 Washington State on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 12 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.

The Bruins dropped three spots to 20th in this week's AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. UCLA is one of eight Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 25 (No. 2 Stanford, No. 14 Oregon, No. 15 USC, No. 18 Washington, No. 21 Washington State, No. 23 Arizona and No. 25 Arizona State), with Colorado and Utah also receiving votes. In addition, the Bruins also played No. 12 Cal Poly and No. 24 Baylor.

The Bruins are one win away from 1,300 in program history ... senior Zana Muno has 1,291 digs in her career, putting her in sixth place in UCLA history. Next up on the list are Nellie Spicer (5th, 1,299) and Samantha Shaver (4th, 1,405) ... the Bruins had 22 blocks in the Sept. 2 victory at then-No. 19 San Diego, their highest total since Nov. 8, 2007 against Oregon State. This century, UCLA has five matches with at least 20 blocks, with the 22 at USD ranking third on that list ... the Bruins, who have dropped 10 of their 13 second sets, are 7-0 when winning the third set of a match, as well as 6-0 when winning set four ... UCLA is 6-0 when leading the match in hitting ... the Bruins are 5-0 when leading in blocks ... UCLA is 3-0 in five-set matches ... senior Kyra Rogers hit a season-best .538 in the Bruins' win against Oregon State last Saturday, recording eight kills and only one error in 13 attempts. She also tied a career high with three aces, reaching that total for the second time in three matches (at Cal on Sept. 28) ... sophomore Jenny Mosser produced her sixth match with double figures in digs against OSU when she had 14. Offensively, she has double figures in kills in eight of 13 contests, recording a season-best 19 against Gonzaga on Aug. 26 ... freshman Devon Chang has five double-doubles in her last eight matches. She had season highs with 52 assists, 16 digs and six blocks at San Diego ... Muno has double figures in digs in 10 matches, recording 68 double-figure digs contests in her four-year career. She has at least 19 digs in all six matches in which she has played libero ... after entering the Cal match with 18 career kills in 23 sets, redshirt freshman Alexis Light has 36 kills in her last 11 for an average of 3.27 kills per set. She went for a personal-best 19 kills in Berkeley, hitting .405 ... junior Kylie Miller set new career highs in assists (41) and digs (22) at Utah on Sept. 21, which resulted in her first double-double of the season and seventh of her career. Over her last six matches, she is averaging 9.06 assists and 3.18 digs per set to go with 10 kills ... junior Savvy Simo has at least five digs in all but one match this season. She has eight double-figure digs contests, going for a career-high 25 at Cal Poly on Sept. 7 ... sophomore Mac May recorded the second, 20-kill match of her season and career at Cal, going for a double-double (third of the year) with a personal-high 14 digs. She has double figures in kills in 10 of 13 matches. May is just as effective behind the baseline, as she has an ace in eight of 13, including two on six occasions ... junior Madeleine Gates has at least seven kills in 12 of her 13 matches, including double figures in six of them. She has just 24 hitting errors in 13 matches, swinging .300 or better in eight of those contests. Defensively, Gates has at least five blocks in five matches, including a career-high 11 at San Diego.
SCOUTING THE ARIZONA STATE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State (13-5, 4-2 Pac-12) has earned three sweeps in its past four contests, including ranked sweeps at Oregon (Sept. 30) and versus Washington (last Sunday). The Sun Devils are averaging 12.80 kills, 1.38 aces, 17.00 digs and 2.12 blocks per set, hitting .210 as a team. Three players are averaging at least two kills per set. Junior Ivana Jeremic is first with 3.57 kps, followed by senior Alyse Ford (3.02 kps) and sophomore Claire Kovensky (2.29 kps). Sophomore Shelbie Dobmeier (9.38 assists per set) and junior Nicole Peterson (5.67 aps) are sharing setting duties. Junior Courtney Leffel is tops on the squad with 4.41 digs per set, while senior Carmen Unzue is first with 1.02 blocks per set.ย

The Bruins lead the all-time series with the Sun Devils, 73-10, having won six in a row. UCLA is 38-2 at home against Arizona State. When winning the first set against the Sun Devils, the Bruins hold a 66-1 record. Four of the six victories during the current winning streak have been sweeps.
SCOUTING THE ARIZONA WILDCATS
Arizona (14-4, 3-3 Pac-12) lost a pair of matches at home to the Washington schools last weekend after sweeping the Oregon schools on the road the previous weekend. The Wildcats are averaging 14.50 kills, 1.17 aces, 15.35 digs and 2.29 blocks per set, hitting .253 as a team. Senior Kendra Dahlke has provided 35 percent of the Wildcats' offense, recording 5.17 kills per set. Sophomore Paige Whipple is second with 2.87 kps, followed by junior Devyn Cross at 2.26 kps. Junior Julia Patterson handles the setting duties and is posting 11.35 assists per set. Junior Makenna Martin is tops on the squad with 3.79 digs per set, while Cross is first with 1.14 blocks per set.ย
