NEWS AND NOTES
Senior Zana Muno has moved into 10th place in UCLA history in digs, as she is one dig shy of 1,200 for her career. Next up on the list are Jenny Johnson (9th, 1,214), Jenny Evans (8th, 1,234) and Ashley Bowles (7th, 1,269) ... the Bruins had 22 blocks in the Sept. 2 victory at then-No. 19 San Diego, their highest total since Nov. 8, 2007 against Oregon State. This century, UCLA has five matches with at least 20 blocks, with the 22 at USD ranking third on that list ... senior Kyra Rogers, who is second on the team with eight block solos, has at least one in all seven matches, producing at least four blocks in six of seven contests. Offensively, Rogers has at least six kills in all but one match, posting zero or one hitting error in three of those contests ... freshman Hawley Harrer has started each of the last four matches, recording a season-best 10 kills at Long Beach State last Thursday. She also posted seven kills each at both San Diego and in the first match at Cal Poly (Sept. 6), combining for five aces in those two contests ... sophomore Jenny Mosser has double figures in kills in all seven matches, recording a season-best 19 against Gonzaga on Aug. 26. She has five double-doubles to her credit, with her career high in digs (20) coming in a match on Aug. 31 against Baylor ... freshman Devon Chang has double-doubles in four of the last five contests, having started the last four matches at setter. After tying personal bests with 20 digs in back-to-back contests at San Diego and Cal Poly, Simo set a new career high with 25 on Sept. 7 at Cal Poly ... sophomore Mac May tallied the first double-double of her career at Long Beach, going for 17 kills and a personal-best 11 digs.
