STANFORD, Calif. - The Bruins finished the Stanford Intercollegiate in seventh place (+15, 867) following a 5-over 289 on Sunday at the Stanford Golf Course.
Freshmen Ty Akabane and Emma Spitz were the top finishers for the Bruins, as each tied for 11th. Akabane, playing as an individual, made a pair of birdies on No. 5 and 11, one bogey and a double to finish at 1-under 212 following a 1-over 72 in her final round. Spitz matched that 72 with a birdie on the first hole and two bogeys.
Freshman Annabel Wilson tied for 32nd (+5, 218), shooting a 1-over 72 in her final round. She made four birdies on No. 9, 17, 1 and 5 and five bogeys. Sophomore Simar Singh tied for 43rd (+7, 220), posting a 1-over 72, making two birdies on No. 13 and 17 and three bogeys. Freshman Emilie Paltrinieri tied for 58th (+11, 224), recording a 2-over 73 on Sunday on four birdies (No. 12, 16, 18 and 7), four bogeys and a double. Freshman Yuki Yoshihara tied for 65th (+13, 226), notching a 5-over 76 on three bogeys and a double.
The Bruins close their fall schedule at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview (Nov. 4-6) at the Nanea Golf Club in Kohala, Hawaii.
