BRUINS VENTURE TO OREGON FOR PAIR OF MATCHES
The UCLA women's volleyball team heads one state north for a pair of Pac-12 matches, as the Bruins face Oregon on Friday at 6 p.m. and Oregon State on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both matches will air on Pac-12 Network.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Bruins return home next weekend, hosting No. 2 Stanford on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. and No. 15 California on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 12 p.m. The UCLA-Stanford match will air on ESPNU, while the UCLA-Cal contest will feature a free video stream on UCLABruins.com.

BRUINS IN THE RANKINGS
Junior Mac May is 10th in the nation in points per set (5.24), 11th in kills per set (4.63) and 29th in attacks per set (11.31). As a team, the Bruins are 37th in assists per set (12.69) and 46th in kills per set (13.50). Among Pac-12 teams, UCLA ranks third in kps, aps and digs per set (15.38). May is tied for first with 0.38 service aces per set and second in both kps and pps. Sophomore Kelli Barry is eighth with 3.71 dps.

NEWS AND NOTES
Eight of UCLA's nine victories have been by sweep ... the Bruins were the last undefeated team in Pac-12 play, starting at 3-0, which marked their first such start since 2007 ... UCLA had eight aces in consecutive matches against USC (Sept. 25) and Arizona State (Sept. 29). It marked the first time since October 2012 that UCLA had at least eight aces in back-to-back contests ... Michael Sealy won his 200th career contest as a head coach on Sept. 6 against Texas State ... junior Mac May has loved playing on the last day of the weekend during Pac-12 play, hitting .462 over the last three Sundays with 62 kills and eight errors in 117 attempts. She set a new career high with 29 kills against Washington on Oct. 6, adding 15 digs for a double-double. May leads the team with 18 service aces, having posted at least one in six consecutive matches and multiple aces five times on the season ... senior Savvy Simo set a new career high against Washington with 19 kills, her eighth match with double figures in kills. Simo has double figures in digs nine times and has produced five double-doubles ... the Bruins have hit .300 or better in three of the last five contests behind the setting of senior Cali Thompson and sophomore Devon Chang. Thompson has three double-doubles in Pac-12 play, serving an ace in four of six contests ... sophomore Kelli Barry notched her third two-ace match of the season at Colorado on Sunday, giving her nine aces on the season. The team leader in digs per set (3.71) has 10 double-figure digs contests ... junior Jenny Mosser has stepped up her game on the defensive side of the ball and has produced at least six digs and at least five blocks in three of her last six matches ... redshirt sophomore Emily Ryan has at least four blocks in four of her last six matches, including seven against USC, which set a personal best ... UCLA will celebrate its first 100 years with a year-long, university-wide Centennial Celebration. UCLA Athletics has several Centennial Celebration plans and giveaways in store for designated home events, including a set of 13 Centennial pins highlighting each sport, as well as a souvenir mosaic poster that features personal photos submitted by UCLA fans. The fall sport Centennial events are: Football - Sept. 7 vs. San Diego State; Men's Soccer - Sept. 26 vs. UC Irvine; Women's Soccer - Sept. 27 vs. California; Men's Water Polo - Oct. 4 vs. Long Beach State; Women's Volleyball - Oct. 25 vs. Stanford.

SCOUTING THE OREGON DUCKS
Oregon's (5-10, 1-5 Pac-12) lone win in conference play was a five-set victory against Utah, while the Ducks have also lost in three to California, in four to Stanford and Washington State and in five to Oregon State and Washington. Oregon is averaging 12.81 kills, 1.39 aces, 13.48 digs and 1.96 blocks per set, hitting .223 as a team. Three players are posting at least three kills per set, led by 3.27 kps from sophomore Brooke Nuneviller, who is also first with 3.31 digs per set. Senior Ronika Stone is second at 3.14 kps, while senior Willow Johnson is third at 3.02 kps. Redshirt freshman Kylie Robinson quarterbacks the offense and is notching 10.09 assists per set. Freshman Georgia Murphy is second with 3.19 dps, while redshirt freshman Karson Bacon is first with 0.92 blocks per set.

THE SERIES: UCLA VS. OREGON
The Bruins lead the all-time series, 56-13, but Oregon claimed both matchups last season, winning in three in Westwood and in four in Eugene. Previous to last year's sweep, UCLA had won three in a row against the Ducks. The Bruins are 23-9 in matches play in Eugene.

SCOUTING THE OREGON STATE BEAVERS
Oregon State (8-9, 2-4 Pac-12) opened Pac-12 play with victories over Oregon and Colorado, but have followed that with three-set losses to California, Stanford and Washington and a four-set defeat to Washington State. The Beavers are averaging 12.48 kills, 1.02 aces, 14.55 digs and 2.50 blocks per set, hitting .208 as a team. Five players are posting at least two kills per set, led by junior Maddie Goings' 2.98 kps. Sophomore Maddie Sheehan (7.60 assists per set) and senior Montanna Gubrud (3.65) share setting duties. Junior Grace Massey is first with 4.12 digs per set, while senior Serena Bruin and sophomore Lindsey Schell are each recording 1.11 blocks per set.ย 

THE SERIES: UCLA VS. OREGON STATE
The Bruins have won 21 matches in a row over Oregon State and lead the all-time series, 62-3. UCLA recorded a sweep last year in Westwood and a five-set victory in Corvallis. The Bruins have lost just 15 sets during their 21-match winning streak. Oregon State's last win was a five-set victory at UCLA in 2007. The Bruins are 31-1 in Corvallis, with the only OSU win coming in 2001.
