Bruins to Face No. 3 Stanford on the Road
UCLA plays on the road for the second consecutive time this week, heading north to face No. 3-ranked Stanford on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. PT and will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks. Fans can also follow along with live stats on UCLABruins.com and live updates from the team's Twitter, @UCLAMSoccer.

Week In Review
UCLA had just one game on the schedule last week, suffering a 2-1 loss on the road at No. 13 Oregon State. The Bruins led 1-0 at halftime, but gave up a pair of late second half tallies as the Beavers recorded the come-from-behind win. Freshman forward Grayson Doody scored his first collegiate goal in highlight-reel fashion to open the scoring in the 11th minute. Senior midfielder Andrew Paoli set up the goal, playing a ball into the box from near the halfway line for Doody, who chested down the ball in stride before poking it in on the fly past OSU keeper Adrian Fernandez. OSU responded in the second half, tying it on a free kick goal from Sofianne Djeffal in the 74th minute before Javier Armas scored the game-winning goal with a strike from just above the box in the 85th minute. The latter score came after the Bruins went a man down following a 78th minute red card. Goalie Justin Garces came up big for the Bruins, making four saves including a penalty kick stop in the 58th minute.

Spreading it Around
UCLA's five goals to this point of the season have been scored by five different players. The Bruins' five unique goalscorers trail conference-leader Washington by just two.

On the Road
This week's game against Stanford marks just the second time this season that UCLA will play consecutive road games (next: Mar. 20 at California, Mar. 24 at San Diego State).

Rank and File
When the Bruins and Cardinal kick off on Saturday, it will be UCLA's second consecutive and third game overall against a team ranked inside the top-15. UCLA's next opponent, Washington, is ranked No. 8 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Poll.

The Series Against Stanford
The Bruins own a 44-15-10 record all-time against Stanford, but are looking for their first win over the Cardinal since 2013.

Garces Impresses Between The Sticks
Junior goalkeeper Justin Garces is off to a hot start to the 2020-21 season, as he leads the Pac-12 Conference in both total saves (14) and saves per game (3.5) while ranking second in save percentage (.778). The Miami, Fla. native recorded his 100th career save against San Diego State on Feb. 20, while his season-opening shutout of San Francisco was the seventh clean sheet of his career. He has also stopped the only PK attempt against him this year.
