
McMahon-Staggs Named UCLA Student-Athlete of Week, presented by Ready

McMahon-Staggs recorded his third-consecutive one mile race under 3:58, setting a personal best with a 3:54.93 to win the Arkansas Qualifier over the weekend. He is now the fastest Bruin ever in the mile in either indoor or outdoor competition. The previous fastest time was ran by Jon Rankin (3:55.63) at an outdoor meet in 2005. McMahon-Staggs now ranks No. 4 in the nation in the mile, within .08 seconds of the No. 2 time.
This is McMahon-Staggs' first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and of his career.
