Schwesinger Named UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

LOS ANGELES โ Redshirt junior Carson Schwesinger of UCLA Football has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week for competitions held between Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

The linebacker led UCLA's defense in a 20-13 win over Fresno State, totaling a team-high 15 tackles Saturday. Schwesinger also blocked a punt and recorded one sack and one pass breakup in the victory of the Bulldogs. His 15 stops were tied for his second most this season and marked the ninth double-digit tackle performance of the year โ the most by a Bruin since Eric Kendricks in 2014, who was the Butkus Award winner that year as the nation's top linebacker. Schwesinger has led UCLA in tackles in 10 of 12 games this year. The Bruins held Fresno State under 300 yards of total offense, including just 62 rushing yards.
