Women’s Golf to Meet USC in the Battle of LA

LOS ANGELES – The No. 23-ranked UCLA women's golf team will meet crosstown rival No. 2 USC in the fourth annual Battle of LA at Rancho La Quinta Golf Club on Friday, Jan. 23.
There will be no live scoring provided for the event. Check @UCLAWomensGolf on X for updates throughout the day. The two rival squads tee off at 8 a.m. (PT) and compete for the Battle of LA trophy. The event is closed to the public.
The Battle of LA, formerly known as the Battle for the Bell, was won most recently by the Women of Troy last March at Palos Verdes Golf Club by a score of 3.5-1.5.
UCLA and USC, two of the top women's golf programs in the country, have won three NCAA Championships apiece.
Scoring System
Each match victory is worth one point. If the match is tied after 18 holes of play, the point will be halved. The team with the most points after the one round of play will be the winner. If there is a tie in points, the winner will be determined by the total number of holes won on the day.
