2023 (Track & Field)
Set the new school record for the indoor 5000m event, running a 13:37.22 at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet in late February… Moved up the all-time list in the indoor mile, sitting seventh all-time for the Bruins with his 4:01.71… Ran six races in the outdoor season, all 3000m steeplechase competitions… Was the Pac-12 runner-up in the steeple, running an 8:42.24 in the Conference meet… Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships running an 8:35.19 at the west regional meet, the fourth-fastest time in school history… First Bruin to record a sub-8:40 mark since 2005… Earned Second Team All-American, finishing 10th at the National Championships (8:43.68)... 2023 USATF Outdoor Championships: Competed in the men's 3000m steeplechase… Herold crossed in 8:47.67 to place 20th in the nation.
2022 (Cross Country)
Ran five races for the Bruins during the cross country campaign… Placed in the top three scorers for UCLA each of his five races… Ran a team-best 23:15.8 at the Pac-12 Championships on Oct. 28, placing 16th in the Conference… At the NCAA West Regional Championship, he ran the 10k in 29:39.8 to finish 57th in the west.

UCLA’s top runner in each of his four races this season … Finished 14th overall at the Dellinger Invite, crossing with an 8k time of 23:35.7 to lead the Bruin men to an eighth-place finish … Finished 27th overall at the Pac-12 Championships, crossing with an 8k time of 24:56.0 … Capped his year with All-Region honors at the NCAA West Regional Championships, crossing in 24th place with an 8k time of 30:18.2.

Toed the line in five meets for the Bruins in his debut track season … Made his UCLA Track debut at the Stanford Invitational, where he finished second overall in the steeple with a time of 8:59.05 … Finished second in the 1500m in the Bruins’ dual meet against USC, crossing with a time of 3:47.03 … Notched an historic performance in the steeple at the Pac-12 Championships, clocking a fourth-place time of 8:42.94, the fifth-fastest mark in UCLA history in the event … Qualified for NCAA West Prelims in the steeplechase and finished 19th overall with a time of 8:55.19.
