ORLANDO, Fla. -
The Bruins tied a school record with a team score of 16-under on Monday during the second round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M, which vaulted them into first place after 36 holes at the Reunion Resort's Watson Course.

UCLA shot a score of 272 as a team to put it at 25-under (551) following two days of play, two strokes ahead of Arkansas. Monday's round equaled the 16-under total netted by the Bruins during the second round of the 2013 Stanford Fall Classic. Live scoring and pairings for Tuesday's final round will be here.

Sophomore Lilia Vu, who was tied for second after one round, is now tied for first at 11-under (133) after a second-round 67 (-5). She was bogey-free on Monday, making birdies on the sixth, 10th, 13th, 16th and 18th. Vu is a tournament-best, 8-under par on the par 4's as she searches for the first collegiate victory of her career on Tuesday. She is tied with Georgia's Bailey Tardy.

Sophomore Bethany Wu equaled Vu's 67 on Monday to move her into a tie for seventh (-6, 138) through two rounds. Wu was also bogey-free, making a trio of birdies on the front nine (#2, #6 and #9) and two more on the back (#13 and #18). Senior Bronte Law, who officially received the 2016 ANNIKA Award on Sunday night at an evening ceremony, fired a 4-under 68. She is tied for 16th after two rounds at 4-under (140). Law birdied the first, fifth and sixth before her only bogey on the seventh, adding birdies on #14 and #16.

Freshman Mariel Galdiano is tied for 26th after her first two collegiate rounds at 2-under (142). She shot an even-par 72 (non-team scoring) on Monday, making three birdies on the second, fourth and 15th to go with three bogeys (#6, #11, #18). Freshman Clare Legaspi bounced back with a 2-under 70 and is tied for 43rd (+3, 147). She had three birdies on her opening nine on #3, #8 and #9. Legaspi bogeyed #14 and #17 before finishing strong with a birdie on her last.
