UCLA will be playing in its sixth stroke-play event of the season. The Bruins won the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 14-15) and also finished second at the East Lake Cup stroke play (Oct. 31), third at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate (Sept. 25-27) and seventh at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview (Oct. 24-25). UCLA is coming off a 10th-place showing at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge (Feb. 12-14) in its first tournament of the spring season.

Three Bruins are within .3 points in the scoring average department. Galdiano is tops at 72.6, having posted a pair of Top 10 showings at Nanea (2nd, -4, 215) and East Lake (T-5, -1, 71). She is coming off a T-24 finish at the NGRC (+6, 219). Galdiano has six under-par rounds this season, including a pair in the 60s, firing a 5-under 68 in the final round at Nanea and a 2-under 69 in the first round at the NGRC.

Vu is just behind Galdiano at a 72.7 scoring average. She has a pair of Top 10 finishes and three tournaments in the Top 20. Vu placed second at the ANNIKA (-10, 206), tied for fifth at Stanford (+1, 143) and was 11th at East Lake (+2, 74). She equaled Galdiano's score at the NGRC. Vu has four under-par rounds, all in the 60s, including a 66 (-6) and a 67 (-5) in the first two rounds of the ANNIKA.

Wu sits just .2 behind Vu at a 72.9 scoring average, having also tied for 24th at the NGRC earlier this month. She has one Top 10, a T-8 at Stanford (+2, 144), and four Top 20s, including a T-14 at the ANNIKA (-5, 211), a 15th-place showing at East Lake (+5, 77) and a T-17 at Nanea (+5, 224). Wu has five under-par rounds, including a 5-under 67 in the second round of the ANNIKA and a first-round 69 (-2) at Stanford.

Erin Choi is playing in her first event of her junior campaign. She appeared in six tournaments and 17 rounds as a sophomore, posting a scoring average of 76.4. Choi had one Top 20 and three rounds under par, tying for 11th at the Stanford Intercollegiate (+2, 215). Lydia Choi is also playing in her first event in her junior season. She played in eight tournaments in 2015-2016, recording a scoring average of 75.9. Choi had a pair of Top 20 showings, tying for 15th at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview (+4, 223) and tying for 20th at Stanford (+4, 217).

Legaspi has a scoring average of 76.4, with her best finish coming at the East Lake Cup stroke-play event when she placed eighth with an even-par 72. She has two under-par rounds, including a 1-under 70 in the opener at the NGRC. Libman has played in two events, tying for 31st at the NGRC (+7, 220) and tying for 56th at the Nanea (+23, 242). Seo has also appeared in those same two tournaments as Libman, tying for 59th at Nanea (+26, 245) and tying for 77th at the NGRC (+19, 232).

The Bruins have won two of the previous seven Bruin Wave Invitationals, including last season at the SLOCC with a 4-over score of 868. Louise Ridderstrom (-3, 213) defeated Bronte Law in a playoff to earn medalist honors. UCLA also won in 2011 when the tournament was held at Robinson Ranch Golf Course in Santa Clarita, with Lee Lopez winning medalist that year. The Bruins will be looking for a third straight medalist at the Bruin Wave, as Erynne Lee won in 2015 at El Caballero in Tarzana.
