Senior Christina Tolson (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley HS) of the UCLA Women's Track and Field Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 5-11.
Tolson led UCLA to its second consecutive NCAA Women's Indoor Track and Field title, scoring 19 of the Bruins' 53.5 points.
Tolson won her first-ever NCAA individual crown, taking home top honors in the shot put with a throw of 55-9 3/4. She also placed second in the 20-lb. weight throw with a mark of 68-9 3/4.
This is Tolson' first student-athlete of the week honor of the season and of her career.
