Senior Mohini Bhardwaj (Cincinnati, OH/Alexander Smith Academy) of the UCLA Gymnastics Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 12-18.
Bhardwaj scored perfect 10s on bars, beam and floor and a career-best 9.975 on the vault to achieve a new school all-around record of 39.975, the second-highest all-around total in NCAA history. Needing a 9.925 on the floor exercise to defeat fifth-ranked Georgia, Bhardwaj scored a 10.0 to give UCLA a 197.475-197.375 victory.
Bhardwaj has recorded a school-record eight perfect 10s this season and has earned a 10 on bars in her last two meets. She has three 10s overall on bars, one on beam and four on floor.
This is Bhardwaj's third student-athlete of the week honor of the season and the fifth of her career.
