Competed in eight meets in his first season with UCLA … Made his UCLA debut at the Arkansas Qualifier (indoor) and finished seventh overall in the shot put with a mark of 15.89m (52-01.75) … Doubled in the shot (15.71m, 51-06.50) and discus (50.72m, 166-05) at the Ben Brown Invite, finishing sixth and third overall in the events, respectively … Notched a season-best mark in the shot at the Bob Larsen Track Meet, going 16.03m (52-07.25) for second place … Posted a season-best discus mark of 51.53m (169-1) at the West Coast Classic in Oregon, good for sixth place overall … Finished 12th in the discus at the Pac-12 Championships with a throw of 50.44m (165-6).
