Competed in four meets in her true freshman season … Indoor: Doubled at the MPSF Indoor Championships, running individually in the 800m (2:18.16) and helping the women’s DMR squad to a 12th-place finish (11:45.70) … Posted a personal-best time in the 800m at the Husky Classic, going 2:13.66 for 32nd place overall … Made her UCLA debut at the UW Indoor Preview, finishing ninth overall in the 600m with a time of 1:36.57.

Born in Irvine, Calif., to Cathie and Jim Calcagnie … Has one older brother (Keith) and an older sister (Lauren) … Lists Shelby Houlihan, Emily Infeld, Emma Coburn and Craig Engels as famous athletes she admires … Hobbies include playing racquetball with her dad and going on long walks with her dog, Kirby … Also enjoys painting at the beach, trying new coffee shops and playing card games … Says her greatest athletic thrill to date was becoming the CIF-SS 800m champion as a senior … Chose UCLA because it has always been her dream school and wanted to challenge herself academically and athletically … Says “I knew the way to do that was by surrounding myself with the best of the best” … Aspires to be a doctor or veterinarian … Once had 13 pet rats as a child.
