Rice Named UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

LOS ANGELES โ Junior Kiki Rice of UCLA Women's Basketball has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week for competitions held between Dec. 17-23.

The point guard exploded for 20 points in UCLA's blowout win over Creighton at the Invisalign Bay Area Women's Classic Friday. The junior was an efficient 8-for-13 from the floor, and she was lights out from distance in the NCAA tournament rematch. Rice shot 3-for-4 from 3-point land; the junior is shooting .375 from long range on the season. Rice sat all but two minutes of the fourth quarter after doing all her work in the first three periods and giving the Bruins a commanding lead. She rounded out her stat line with five boards, four assists and zero turnovers on the night.ย The top-ranked Bruins remain undefeated through 12 games; Friday's contest was played at the Chase Center in San Francisco, the future home of the Golden State Valkyries.
